We’ve been around for 6 years now… we’ve traveled far, starting in Warfield, then our first big boy office in Windsor, followed by a short stint at Ascot Business Park, now we’re firmly settled at the top of Ascot High Street, and proud to be THE web design company in Ascot!  As part of our celebration we decided it was time to freshen up our brand, something we feel should be done every once in a while, without moving away from your established identity and design principals.  So here it is, a little timeline to highlight the evolution of the Jaijo logo.

Only once we’d done this did we then realised we need to create new business cards, letterheads, adjust our logo on Facebook, Twitter, our website, everywhere.  So if you spot one of our old logos floating around the web, let us know, we may even dish out a prize for the person who finds the most.

We are a Berkshire based design company who work predominantly for private corporations and are looking for an Experienced Web Developer to help expand our exciting design company. The position is a permanent full-time role and is based at our office on Ascot High Street.

If you are motivated by an opportunity to work on a vast range of projects, within an exciting and proactive environment and are looking for long term career progression this is the role for you.

Key responsibilities

Produce, update and maintain web sites using PHP/HTML/ JavaScript/CSS
Liaise with clients throughout the project development
Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies
Deliver projects on time and in full whilst also handling day-to-day operational issues

Experience Required

Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English
Minimum of 1 years business experience in related web design/development role
Working knowledge of Photoshop to demonstrate site creation / cut ups, Dreamweaver
Sound knowledge of web based technologies HTML, PHP, CSS & WordPress
Experience of eCommerce shopping cart packages would also be advantageous

Other useful attributes

Candidates must be confident, hard working and able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a passion for web design
Excellent attention to detail and good communication skills
Ability to work to deadlines and manage own time and projects
Internet savvy with an interest in Social Media would also be advantageous
Hold current driving license and have own transport

We’re really pleased to announce that Jaijo are now an official partner in SilverTribe. Essentially Silver Tribe offers a high end food delivery service from your favourite local restaurants, that wouldn’t normally deliver. Now this is going to be dangerous for us financially, as I can see us using this service far too much, with Chinese, Italian, Indian, English, Tapas, and Deli food all on offer… it’s far too tempting not to get the cooking pans out!

We were introduced to Aldon who founded SilverTribe who has an energy and passion that is contagious. We are delighted to be part of his exciting project and can see it going from strength to strength. We’re also pleased to be surrounded with some familiar faces within the group of partners which include our client’s; Leonie Schwarz Photography, Roots Living, Bird, Bespoke Building Solutions, The Fashion Workshop, to name but a few.

We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Laura Michael as Web Developer at Jaijo Design.  Laura joins us from another design company in Berkshire where she developed her wide skill set in web development and graphic design.  We’ve decided Laura’s the cleverest one at the company now since she graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Computing, awarded by the University of Surrey.
